Carpenter Syndrome

a.k.a. Acrocephalosyndactyly Type II
Summitt Syndrome(includes obesity and normal intelligence)

General:
• Craniosynostosis
• Acrocephaly
• Lateral displacement of inner canthi
• Syndactyly
• Polydactyly of feet

Airway:
• High arched palate
• Abnormal teeth
• Hypoplastic mandible
• Short neck

Cardiovascular:
• ASD
• VSD
• PDA
• TOF
• TGA

Neurological:
• Mental retardation
• Elevated ICP possible

Musculoskeletal:
• Lotsa dactyly

Other:
• Renal problems

Considerations:
• Difficult intubation
• Raised ICP precautions
• Renal evaluation
• SBE prophylaxis
